AUBURN, Mass. - Gary W. Sorenson, 51, of Auburn and Worcester, died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012 at the UMass Memorial Hospital, Worcester, following an illness.

He leaves his father, Wendell C. Sorenson of Auburn; his three brothers, Jeffrey L. Sorenson and his wife Sandra of Auburn, NY, William C. Sorenson and his wife Nancy of Charlton, and David J. Sorenson of Worcester; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Nancy W. (Nideur) Sorenson in 2010 and by his brother, Peter F. Sorenson in 1992.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the group home that has loving cared for Gary, especially Gina and Kelly.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Auburn. There are no calling hours.
