WORCESTER, Mass. - Greater Worcester Community Foundation is accepting applications from students in Auburn and throughout Worcester County who seek scholarship support for the 2012 to 2013 academic year.

More than 350 awards, ranging from $250 to more than $4,000, will be made to students based on a wide variety of criteria including financial need, area of study, ethnic origin, community involvement, high school, and place of residence. Submitting a single application allows a student to be considered for any of the scholarships for which they are eligible.

Many awards are renewable for subsequent years of study. Recipients will be announced in July 2012. Students must apply online at www.greaterworcester.org. Applications, including an essay, recommendation, resume and official transcript, must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Monday, March 19.
