How about we keep the Level 3 sex offenders incarcerated for more than 6 months in order to keep people safer? View Comment

What form of non-profit is this? I didn't see any information on their web site or evidence of any tax filings on guidestar.org.
This article has been re-hashed over and over. Personally, I'd prefer to keep the plates that have been on my cars for the last 20 years. View Comment

michael b - what capital projects have the selectmen said "no" to recently? There might be some - I just can't think of them. It's always easier to say yes than no.
I think we ought to ask this - in a time of very scarce resources and budget cuts, is this the best use out money? I would say "no", and I don't think this makes me a pessimist. We have buildings, roadways and sidewalks literally falling apart in this town - I'd rather pay attention to them. View Comment

Given how many boards looked at the library project and blessed that, I'm not sure it holds much weight in my book.
You've already got a business willing to purchase the property and pay taxes on it, why not invest in another place like LaPoint suggested? I thought what everyone has been clamoring for is more business in town, not less. View Comment

If you think there is much of a difference between what you will get with a Democratic or a Republican president, you are delusional. Power and the military industrial complex rules. The money will follow the candidate most likely to win.
At any level of politics, the longer they are in power, the worse it gets, which is why I will vote for change - in Washington, and in Grafton. View Comment

Your best site for development is up in the Tufts area, where you have reasonable ACCESS from Rt 9. The projects you cite in your long post all have one thing in common - good access. Not many major roadways running through Grafton (the Pike doesn't count). View Comment

Well, we rushed to buy one contaminated, still idle piece of land behind the library, now perhaps another? Not only do they both seem to be contaminated, they would both be off the rent roll if the town owned them. It's nothing I think we need to rush into, that's for sure. View Comment

They have learned from the politicians in Washington - push through massive amounts of spending in an incredibly short amount of time, in order to get everyone to rubber stamp decisions and hide pet projects! View Comment

I couldn't agree with Ray more. If you want the same results, keep the same people in office. That goes with this town, this state, and the federal government.

Commented on Letter: A Vote for Bruce Spinney for Selectman

I am not supporting any of the current selectmen who were in support of the library project that we clearly did not need and should not have been a priority over the other projects that this town does need.
My support is fully behind Bruce Spinney. View Comment

Any idea why? That was before I moved to town. I can't imagine why that would not be a good idea though. I heard the fire dept and police didn't get along and didn't want a common site. Not sure if that is true though. View Comment

Well, that brings up the question of why these various facilities (Police, Fire, Highway Dept) were not planned to be located together for some economies of scale? View Comment
